What Is Ultrapure Water?
Ultrapure water is water that has been almost entirely stripped of dissolved salts, organic substances and particles. We produce it using a combination of reverse osmosis and electrodeionization (EDI) – multi-stage systems individually sized to the required purity class, from 20 liters per hour for laboratory needs to several thousand liters per hour for industrial processes.
Purity Classes to ASTM
- ASTM Type I – highest purity, up to 18.2 MΩ·cm, TOC < 10 ppb (e.g. HPLC, cell culture)
- ASTM Type II – high purity, ≥ 1 MΩ·cm (general lab analytics, reagents)
- ASTM Type III – medium purity, ≥ 0.05 MΩ·cm (pre-filtration, glassware rinsing)

System Configuration
The system design depends on the purity class required: ASTM Type III typically needs only a single-stage reverse osmosis unit, ASTM Type II a two-stage system, and ASTM Type I adds a downstream electrodeionization (EDI) polishing stage. Available as an enclosed stainless steel housing, a mobile version on castors, an open frame, or a fully enclosed cabinet system – including PLC control with conductivity monitoring and optional remote administration.
